Dom Leseurre Cabernet Franc Barrel Select 750Ml

The 2015 Cabernet Franc Barrel Select was aged for 22 months in French oak (one-third new, one-third of moderate age and one-third very old, the winery's fairly typical treatment). This is a beauty, peppery, not particularly vegetal and showing off black fruits more than green. The structure is good, the concentration is respectable and the finish has grip. It's rather lively. It's not the highest personality Cab Franc, but it can yet develop and improve. This should become more expressive in a year or two. Sourced from a single site, there were 322 cases produced.
