"Classic example of JONATA’s red, black and green. Cacao, scorched earth and espresso bean. Dark and dusty. Cacao nibs. Chicory coffee. Dried figs. Herbal mint and sage. Like the other 2019 reds, this is defined by a feeling that is dark and brooding, but so alluring. Classic merlot nose. Powerful and chalky. So persistent with good density and force. Lifted and toasty. A bit reminiscent of the elegant 2014 in its tightness and structure, but in the end, it is a more powerful and complete blend. A bundle of energy for sure.
