A blend of 70% Grenache and 15% each Carignan and Syrah, all grown on white clay and matured in tank, the 2017 Cairanne offers up classic appellation-vintage notes of cola, blackberries and allspice, then adds a bit of red raspberry to the mix. Full-bodied, rich and velvety, it offers a bit more freshness and structure than the other offerings from Romain Roche (see Domaine Roche). Wine Advocate
